This 'transparency' legislation, if I understand correctly, was voted on by a near-unanimous bipartisan majority. The way the law is written makes me wonder if there were some people, likely Republicans, who had this law written in such a way as to prevent full disclosure. Who specifically had input into drafting this legislation?
Obviously the DOJ made a mockery of this so-called release, as they may claim that certain investigations are ongoing. But one thing is clear, there are some villains involved in this case. The DOJ can claim that they are trying to 'protect' the victims all they want.
So what happened to the 'protection' for Virginia Giuffre? That looks like a failure on part of the DOJ.
The Department should put an emphasis on protecting the victims, yes, but not at the expense of letting the villains get off the hook, especially if one of them is the current resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
When you say “all parties,” are you talking about the forced two-party duopoly? Because yes, both are influenced by oligarch money post-Citizens United.
But cynicism isn’t a strategy. Voting may be limited, but it’s still one of the few levers ordinary people have.

If you know the name of any person, then they are not involved in any way with any policy decision or lawmaking. All of that takes place behind the scenes with completely nameless and faceless people.
The campaign and public appearances that take place before an election? That is all simply an audition. Trump has had one of the longest auditions in history, practically his whole life.
I think voting is like automobile repair.

How do you look at the meta data and arrive at the conclusion: “sworn testimony and affidavits submitted under penalty of perjury include allegations, raised by named witnesses, that Donald Trump engaged in sexual contact with a minor. “
That seems like a leap from what you included here.
Metadata doesn’t establish guilt, but it does reflect what DOJ indexed. The allegations come from sworn filings; the metadata shows DOJ knows those records exist while restricting access to them.

What I’m seeing is you included citations of the meta data including a reference to DT being a “friend” and “frequent visitor.” But I see no citation of testimony alleging sex with a minor. It’s reasonable to infer there could be such an allegation among the testimony in the various cases, in my opinion, but I’m not seeing a specific reference, which I think is important.
